After discussion with Giulio and Tency, we agreed to set in place a backup of the full server on a USB drive.
GIS - Support #14762 (New): Rain data of Sri Aurobindo Society Building Pondicherry - Beach Officehttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/147622023-01-11T11:22:36ZSelvarani C

Hi philippe,

As we discussed yesterday.
Here below i have attached the rain data of Sri Aurobindo Society Building Pondicherry - Beach Office what they send.
The data is from 1st Dec '22 to 9th Jan'23, at 4 hour intervals.
GIS - Support #14614 (New): CSR Weather Station not recording data?https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/146142022-11-11T04:48:46ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

Dear Philippe,

I noticed that since 9 november at around 2 pm, the CSR weather station did not store any info on rainfall (I did not check other parameters).

I will ask Vijai to check the batteries, as we had a couple of overcast days and perhaps the solar charge of the weather station was not enough...

I think it is better to check also if data have been stored in Ambient Weather server or not.
Thanks
GIS - Support #14407 (New): UPS received and connectedhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/144072022-08-20T05:16:45ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

This morning we connected the UPS to the server, as once again last night there was a power cut...
Probably you will need to pass by and see if it needs to be configured in a way so that the turning off could be done properly by the UPS itself when the batteries drain out
GIS - Support #13847 (New): Gisaf not respondinghttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/138472022-03-30T11:49:04ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

Today thee was power cut for the whole day. At a certain point there was not even Internet connection at the office. Then Internet was restored, but Gisaf is still not connecting, and if I press Shift-F5 I get a "502 Bad Gateway - nginx" error message.
We tried to switch the server off, and then on again, but to no avail

Kindly help if you can
Thanks
Giulio
GIS - Support #12051 (New): Update pgadminhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/120512021-04-22T07:27:43ZPhilippe May

Pgadmin now has a repository for the correct Debian version (Bullseye).

It was previously installed (on gisdb.csr.av) some time ago, using separately downloaded packages.
GIS - Support #11898 (New): Add Aurogreen Weather Station https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/118982021-03-17T06:40:29ZPhilippe May

There's a AmbientWeather station in Aurogreen: https://ambientweather.net/dashboard/612e02813cbcd43451d4e9509c98218f

That would be nice to incorporate the data in Gisaf.
GIS - Documentation #11506 (New): Article on wells levels graphshttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/115062020-12-21T11:11:08ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

There were almost 2500 point reconciliations done, but few issues in the reconciliations left the database with some issues:

gisaf_survey.raw_survey.category was not updated. This can be done thanks to data stored in gisaf_admin.reconciliation

the point layers (final, WGS84) were updated (old removed and new created), but not the raw survey table

documentation is wrong/misleading, as it shows that reconciliation is done for raw survey only (https://redmine.auroville.org.in/projects/gis/wiki/Survey_data)

We need to understand the ODM software's capabilities:

use a virtual machine (set up with Windows' Hyper-V on one of the CAD machines)

use pictures taken by Chennai's drone surveyor in Feb. 2019 (reference?)

This ticket involves exploring the software, before eventually using using it in production, which would require a more solid process established after this experience
GIS - Support #7402 (New): Integrate data from well probeshttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/74022019-01-10T05:42:16ZPhilippe May

Dear Giulio,
Currently we are not transmitting the data that we receive on the gateway to an external server (such as one that Philppe manages) because we are in the testing phase.
However, when we are actually transmitting the data to a server that Philppe or someone manages, then we need two things
1. A cloud server and software that forwards the data to Water Group server. (To be managed by Talam)
2. A software which will receive the data and store it on the server managed by Philppe.
In one of the early discussions, I had mentioned both these two tasks and a cost of Rs.1000/month for #1 but couldn't find any record in emails.
So I'm stating this by email so that both task #1 and #2 are noted by all of us. Please let me know if you need any clarification on these two tasks.

Gisaf - Support #6907 (New): Study alternative for TileServerhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/69072018-10-12T10:24:19ZPhilippe May

TileServer is not very FOSS friendly:

the free mbtiles files are old (more than 1 year from OSM), paid versions otherwise

TileServer software itself is not well maintained, as it depends from node 6 (current: version 10)
