Redmine GIS - Support #13982 (Resolved): Update server's storagehttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/139822022-04-28T11:50:44ZPhilippe May

The storage management needs to be updated. There's now an SSD on the server after a failure of HDD, and the partitioning of the setup needs review and update.
GIS - Support #9463 (Resolved): Setup a weather station in Kalpanahttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/94632019-12-18T15:18:05ZPhilippe May

After a discussion in the Kalpana mailing list related to a rain gauge, i (Philippe) proposed to use an automatic weather station instead, giving the link to the model we have in Kalpana. The idea was turned down, however Raymond (friend of Patricia) liked the idea and purchased a weather station quite similar to the one in CSR (on Amazon Netherlands).

Setup, installation, connection details below.
GIS - Support #9292 (Resolved): Server upgrade to busterhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/92922019-11-11T13:56:29ZPhilippe MayGIS - Support #8504 (Resolved): Clean data from the weather stationhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/85042019-06-17T12:04:55ZPhilippe May

The WS has moved to a proper location (3m high pole).

The data stored until today (17/6/2019), except for rainfall, should be removed from the DB.
GIS - Support #8450 (Resolved): Unable to Load Jupyter Labhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/84502019-06-10T06:46:44ZDebojyoti Mallickdebojyoti.mallick@outlook.com

Dear Philippe,
Gisaf server looks like not working...
GIS - Bug #7957 (Feedback): Export polygon shapefiles do not show "holes"https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/79572019-03-23T11:22:05ZPushparaj Muthukrishnan

the initial description of this ticket was: "Roof is again mismatch in maduca and Maitreye 3".

Actually, the problem is with exporting polygon layers: the inside polygons, which should define the "holes", are shown in plain color.
GIS - Feature #7763 (Feedback): Infrastructure: migrate old-admin to the same server than gisafhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/77632019-02-25T05:26:59ZPhilippe May

The "old admin" is hosted on the "old" virtual machine, that was used originally.

That was migrated to Debian 9 some time ago, so we can now migrate this installation to the same VM on which the main gisaf runs, smoothing the integration of "old admin" and the main gisaf, also freeing resources on the bare server and easing server management.
GIS - Support #7343 (Resolved): Add layer for locationshttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/73432018-12-28T11:48:46ZPhilippe May

Follow up with a discussion and request for Deoyani, WRT identification of cadastral data
GIS - Support #7156 (Resolved): Make server boot againhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/71562018-11-30T05:33:49ZPhilippe May

Yesterday the server could not reboot normally.
GIS - Support #6990 (Resolved): Create a VM for Notebookshttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/69902018-10-30T07:18:14ZPhilippe May

We have identified that the gis.csr.av domU has issues with the file system. It switches to read only at times (heavy load).

In order to mitigate the risks, the notebook server should be hosted in its own virtual machine (domU).

Beside, the plan is to install Gisaf/asyncio on it, in order to get notebooks compliant with the new Gisaf API.
GIS - Support #6954 (Resolved): Create a VM for DBhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/69542018-10-23T11:06:12ZPhilippe May

We have identified that the gis.csr.av domU has issues with the file system. It switches to read only at times (heavy load).

In order to mitigate the risks for the database (which is now used for, eg, polling weather station data), the database should be hosted in its own virtual machine (domU).
GIS - Support #6494 (Resolved): Add CC copyright on datahttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/64942018-08-22T05:25:53ZPhilippe MayGIS - Task #5978 (Resolved): Registration for Bangalore Open Street Map conferencehttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/59782018-06-06T11:05:05ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com
