Redmine Gisaf - Support #14897 (Resolved): Many categories are missing from gisafhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/148972023-03-20T11:03:40ZSelvarani C

Dear Philippe,

After Lunch we had noticed that some of the categories are missing from Gisaf Map.
(EX- Building platform, topo-elevation..., )
Please check it.
GIS - Support #14072 (Resolved): Gisaf very slowhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/140722022-05-18T05:31:04ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

Gisaf is very very slow, problem started this week (from 16 may 2022) and it is very difficult to conduct any operation on it. Even entering the latest rainfall data was not possible
GIS - Support #13883 (Resolved): Gisaf not responding - Possible issue with tag editing?https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/138832022-04-07T12:12:40ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

This morning Raj was editing some tags for platforms. Selvarani noticed that when Raj works on tags, then Gisaf stops responding. There could be a link between the two things...
Thanks
GIS - Support #13822 (Feedback): Need a Login id and password to a Gisaf for entering the tag value.https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/138222022-03-26T09:49:55ZPushparaj Muthukrishnan

Hi Philippe,

I need a Login id and password to a Gisaf for entering the tag value of each material type. So will it be possible to create for me a Login id and password for Gisaf. Thank you
Gisaf - Support #13642 (Resolved): Electrical problems: Server downhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/136422022-02-12T07:00:24ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

Dear Philippe, this morning the solar panels did not recharge enough the batteries because since yesterday the sky has been overcast. The problem is that even TNEB was tripping, so the server went on and off repeatedly. Vijai is on leave, and we could not do much.
But of course now the server is down.
Can you please help?

Thanks

Dear Philippe,
today there was some problem with electric power supply, and the server went down.
Selvarani tried to switch it back on but it does not work

Thanks
GIS - Bug #12049 (Resolved): Gisaf Errorhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/120492021-04-22T04:56:46ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com

This morning Gisaf does not open, the error in the screenshot is displayed on screen
Gisaf - Support #9592 (Resolved): Follow up migration https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/95922020-01-18T14:34:20ZPhilippe May

There was a hectic migration of gisdb to bullseye, postgres 12, postGis 3.

The upgrade-cluster tool didn't work, so i went with re-creating the DB, importing from backup.

But, roles were not set (only avgis). Gisaf frontend works with the new setup.

See the file ~postgres/import_postgres_12_prod_output for the errors.

Also, need to check:

- "cron" jobs
- jupyter
- backups
Gisaf - Bug #9468 (Feedback): "Find my Location" button on map returns strange result !!https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/94682019-12-19T11:17:24ZRichard Presley

I clicked on the "Find My location" button on the map:

my position is indicated as ~50 km north of Tiruchirappalli, which is about 250 km southwest of my actual location in Auroshilpam!

When I launch Google Maps my position is correctly displayed.
GIS - Task #8384 (Feedback): Applying Topology Rules to Basins using QGIS 3.6.*https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/83842019-05-28T10:46:58ZDebojyoti Mallickdebojyoti.mallick@outlook.com

Applying Topology Rules to refine borders of Basins using QGIS.

Used Check Geometry and Topology Checker to try and correct ends of basins.

Some Basins looked good and followed the correct rule for overlap while a few of them did not.

Checking through all the rules to eventually look at the possibility of removing the faulty overlaps automatically. Else will have to resort to manual editing for them.
GIS - Task #8380 (Feedback): Understanding Terrain Datasets for vector modelling of DTM using Arc...https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/83802019-05-27T09:13:00ZDebojyoti Mallickdebojyoti.mallick@outlook.com

The motive of this task is to understand the use of Digital Terrain Models for Basin Analysis and Building from source vector data.

It is also an insight into the Terrain Dtataset in ArcGIS and the properties that are used to define and generate a Terrain Dataset purely from vector sources.

The advantage of using this model would be using the concept of triangulation (Pyramids) to build a more accurate 3D/2D terrain for Basin Analysis using contours and elevation points.

The purpose of this reference is to understand how ArcGIS has created a vector based DTM using original scientific concepts so that we know if this workflow might suit our purpose for fine tuning a terrain for better basin analysis.

We could test this tool to eventually see the outcome and accordingly judge its overall use.
GIS - Bug #7957 (Feedback): Export polygon shapefiles do not show "holes"https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/79572019-03-23T11:22:05ZPushparaj Muthukrishnan

the initial description of this ticket was: "Roof is again mismatch in maduca and Maitreye 3".

Actually, the problem is with exporting polygon layers: the inside polygons, which should define the "holes", are shown in plain color.
GIS - Task #7784 (Resolved): In Invocation Unpaved road is missing in gisafhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/77842019-02-27T04:28:29ZPushparaj MuthukrishnanGIS - Feature #7763 (Feedback): Infrastructure: migrate old-admin to the same server than gisafhttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/77632019-02-25T05:26:59ZPhilippe May

The "old admin" is hosted on the "old" virtual machine, that was used originally.

That was migrated to Debian 9 some time ago, so we can now migrate this installation to the same VM on which the main gisaf runs, smoothing the integration of "old admin" and the main gisaf, also freeing resources on the bare server and easing server management.
GIS - Bug #3368 (Resolved): Cannot upload datahttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/33682016-12-20T10:34:29ZGiulio Di Anastasiogiulioenrica@gmail.com
