Redmine GIS - Support #11898 (New): Add Aurogreen Weather Station https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/118982021-03-17T06:40:29ZPhilippe May

There's a AmbientWeather station in Aurogreen: https://ambientweather.net/dashboard/612e02813cbcd43451d4e9509c98218f

That would be nice to incorporate the data in Gisaf.
Gisaf - Feature #10948 (Resolved): Add WMS3 server capabilities (with pygeoapi)https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/109482020-09-10T06:37:37ZPhilippe May

So far, it's possible to access the layers from QGis: Eg. open
http://{server}/gj/other_tdc.building
. This is not very practical, and research and experiments with geoserver show that there's a big potential with GEO-specific APIs integration.

Gisaf should provide simple ways to integrate with OSGEO new standards (AGCAPI, WFS3, ...).

A direct application: with QGis, one could browse a catalog then add directly some layers on the map, eliminating the need for download/export of files.

[This ticket is mainly for research and feasibility, many details might change as i don't master this complex domain]
Gisaf - Bug #9468 (Feedback): "Find my Location" button on map returns strange result !!https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/94682019-12-19T11:17:24ZRichard Presley

I clicked on the "Find My location" button on the map:

my position is indicated as ~50 km north of Tiruchirappalli, which is about 250 km southwest of my actual location in Auroshilpam!

When I launch Google Maps my position is correctly displayed.
GIS - Documentation #9141 (New): AWS water supply data https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/91412019-10-16T07:22:36ZMeera NatarajanGIS - Task #7786 (Resolved): To take a photo of Boundary Stone and position https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/77862019-02-27T06:09:07ZPushparaj MuthukrishnanGeomatic studio models for Gisaf - Feature #7725 (Resolved): Add a button for generating reportshttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/77252019-02-20T10:53:52ZPhilippe May

It's just an idea at this point: for each feature, gisaf could be used to generate downloadable, customizable reports.

For example, from the information of one waste water treatment plant, a report could be generated (format to be defined), with the purpose of health checks, where this report would define the checks to be conducted given the components of the system.

Later on, such facility could be used for other things, like generating automatically a pre-filled redmine ticket.
GIS - Task #7608 (New): creating a structure for tagshttps://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/76082019-02-08T08:33:47ZPavneet Kaurkaur.pavneet22@gmail.com

So far, source as key and L'avenir d'Auroville as value to this key has been assigned.
Gisaf - Feature #7379 (New): Make Gisaf installable (Progressive Web App)https://redmine.auroville.org.in/issues/73792019-01-05T12:44:11ZPhilippe May

TileServer is not very FOSS friendly:

the free mbtiles files are old (more than 1 year from OSM), paid versions otherwise

TileServer software itself is not well maintained, as it depends from node 6 (current: version 10)
*

The branch "sanic" gives a version of Gisaf on Sanic/Gino.

But there's no practical solution, as of today, for offering the equivalent of Flask-admin.

Architects work in Autocad, and they would be happy getting DXF files and avoid spending 5 minutes on QGIS.

This feature request needs to be specified more precisely.
