h1. What about CPE (customer premises equipment)?
CPE connects Aurinoco's optical fiber cable (OFC) to the site network. It is made up of
# Home termination box (HTB) connects outside OFC to inside OFC
# Optical Network Terminal (ONT) connects OFC to a wire cable
# Router optionally connects wire cable to WiFi and/or multiple wired connection sockets
The ONT and router may be combined in a single unit
Normally Aurinoco supplies and is responsible for supporting all the CPE
If you want to use an existing router, [[FAQ:How to contact Aurinoco?|contact Aurinoco]] to find out if it is a model that Aurinoco supports
If you want to get your own combined ONT and router, of a model supported by Aurinoco, [[FAQ:How to contact Aurinoco?|contact Aurinoco]]. Aurinoco will configure it at SaraCon. You will be responsible for any warranty claims
If you opt for a high speed (100Mbps+) connectivity you will need high speed routers (gigabit, dual band) to get the full throughput to your devices.
