AONT1444¶
Steps:¶
- Power on the optical modem(ASEE 1444).
- Connect the optical modem(ASEE 1444) with a system using an Ethernet patch cable on the LAN port of the optical modem(ASEE 1444) OR connect Via optical modem(ASEE 1444)_Wifi.
- Open any Internet Browser on the system.
- Type the following IP on the URL 192.168.1.1.
- In the pop-up window, enter User Name as admin and Password as system.
- The Web interface of the router will allow you to modify and edit the optical modem's settings.
WAN Configurations:¶
- Select WAN Connection Type:
- Change Channel Mode to IPoE from Bridged.
- Go to WAN IP Settings which is on the same page.
- Update the Local IP Address: 10.20.4.***
- Update the Remote IP Address/Gateway: 10.20.4.1*
- Update the Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
- Update the Primary DNS: 192.168.8.55
- Update the secondary DNS: 192.168.8.56
- Click Apply Changes.
WLAN/Wifi Configurations:¶
- Select WLAN.
- Select wlan0 (5GHz).
- Select Basic Settings to change the wifi name.
- On SSID (fill in the wifi name) - **
- Click Apply Changes to save the WiFi name.
- Select Security for password insert.
- Click on Encryption to change the various modes of encryption.
- Select WPA2 for iPhone & Apple devices or WPA2+WPA3 Mixed for Android devices
- Select Pre-Shared Key to insert password - ** (It should be more than seven characters)
- Click Apply Changes.
- Select wlan1 (2.4GHz).
- Select Basic Settings to change the wifi name.
- On SSID (fill in the wifi name) - **
- Click Apply Changes to save the WiFi name.
- Select Security for password insert.
- Click on Encryption to change the various modes of encryption.
- Select WPA2 for iPhone & Apple devices or WPA2+WPA3 Mixed for Android devices
- Select Pre-Shared Key to insert password - ** (It should be more than seven characters)
- Click Apply Changes.
Reboot/Power cycle after optical modem(ASEE 1444) configuration is done before using it.
Logout of the optical modem(ASEE 1444).
OK: logout successfully! message will pop up.
Note: Encryption is the process of encoding messages or information so that only authorized parties can read it.
