How to set up the router?

Change the WiFi name and WiFi password

The WiFi name is also known as the Service Set Identifier (SSID)

"Your device" can be a cell phone, a computer or a tablet

If any step of the procedure below does not work, contact Aurinoco

  • Connect your device via Ethernet cable or WiFi to the WiFi router
  • Open a web browser and type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar. If that does not display the router's login page, try 192.168.1.1
  • On the router's login page, enter user name and password
    • User name: admin
    • Password: admin or system or admin12 or admin123 or admin@123
  • After logging in ...
  • To change the WiFi name
    • Wireless (tab on the left) > Wireless Settings
      or
      WLAN (tab on the left) > Basic
    • Enter the new SSID or Wireless Network Name
  • To change the password
    • Wireless (tab on the left) > Wireless Settings
      or
      WLAN (tab on the left) > Security
    • Enter the new Wireless Password
      or
      Ensure Encryption is WPA-2, Pre-Shared Key Format is Passphrase then enter the new Pre-Shared Key
  • Click Apply Changes or Save. If you were connected by WiFi, you will be disconnected and can test your change(s) by re-connecting
