How to change the SSID¶
- Connect your desktop or laptop via Ethernet cable to router.
- Open any web browser and type 192.168.31.1 in the address bar
- In the next step the admin password is required. By default it is admin. It may have been changed and you know what it has been changed to. In case you are unable to log in, the procedure to reset the password to the default is at https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-e&q=how+to+reset+MI+router+admin+password
- Enter the password and press enter key or click on '->'
- Click 'Settings' from the menu at the top of page
- In the settings menu, click on "Wi-Fi settings" if it is not already open
- Click on 'Disable' radio button, A dialogue box with confirmation to save changes appears - Click on 'Save'.
- Wait for 60 secs for the changes to take effect on the router.
