| 4 | Charles Atkinson | # If there is a download running, wait for it to finish or pause it |
| 9 | Charles Atkinson | # Test the internal speed using http://speedtest.aurinoco.net (requires using Aurinoco's DNS service, details at [[Which_DNS_servers_to_use]]). Take a screen shot of the result |
| 10 | Charles Atkinson | # Test the Internet speed using http://www.speedtest.net/. Click on "Change server" and search for Bangalore or Bharti. Choose Bharti Airtel Ltd, Bangalore. Click on Go. When the test has finished, take a screen shot of the result. If the download speed is lower than expected, mail the screen shot to support@aurinoco.net |
| 11 | Panchanan Hiremath | # If you are unable to do speed-tests, [[power cycle the network devices]] |
| 2 | Santhosh Kumar | # For WiFi users |
| 4 | Charles Atkinson | ** If the WiFi signal is low move the modem closer to the computer. |
| 4 | Charles Atkinson | ** If that is not practicable or the WiFi signal is still too low, upgrade your router to a more powerful model. |
| 4 | Charles Atkinson | # Is the connection slow for all Internet services? All websites? Email etc.? |
| 2 | Santhosh Kumar | ** If it's just Internet browsing, try various websites to see if they are all affected. |
| 4 | Charles Atkinson | ** If it's just emails maybe the problem is with the email server. Give them time to fix it and re-test. |
